Parents, in the next few months the School-Based Decision Making Council will hire the next Henry Clay High School principal, as Mr. Nochta is retiring at the end of the school year. This is a critical decision for our school and we need your input. You are invited to join Vince Mattox and the SBDM Council for a Parent Profile Meeting. This is a time for you to express your ideas to most, if not all the Council, in person. This will help all Council members to hear the context of your comments. From these comments (and those of the faculty & staff forum earlier in the day) the Council will develop a Principal Profile that is unique for Henry Clay High School.

Please join us!
Date: Tuesday, Feb.28th Time: 6:00 pm
Place: Theater
Purpose: Review the process for selecting a principal and determine the attributes needed in a principal of Henry Clay High School.

Outlined below is the process for determining Principal attributes:
  1. Parents contribute ideas on the vision and goals for Henry Clay High School over the next two years in terms of:
    • Student Achievement
    • School Interactions (the way people treat each other)
    • Parent Involvement
  2. Parents contribute ideas on what attributes a principal must possess to achieve the goals identified.
  3. Parents work towards consensus on the attributes for the principal at Henry Clay High School.
Thank you in advance for your assistance and interest in this important decision for our school. If you have any questions, you may contact me at (859) 381-3423 ext 2250 or via email at amanda.hurley@fayette.kyschools.us. On behalf of the SBDM Council, we look forward to seeing and hearing from you on February 28th.
